The Rain and Me
The Rain and Me share a strange bond, Sometimes hate, sometimes love. Sometimes just harmony. The Rain and Me share moods as well; When I’m gloomy, she’s sad. When I’m joyous, she’s happy, too. The Rain and Me share the windowsill; While I sit and watch her dance, She rehearses and looks for my appreciation. The Rain and Me share a love for sounds; She finds peace in her gentle patter on the leaves and roofs, And I enjoy the rhythm as my toes tap on the road. The Rain and Me don’t always agree; She sometimes floods the roads when I’d like to walk, And I’m often not in a mood to play with her. But the Rain and Me share a friendship; We are bound together by her drops and my promises, And yet, it isn’t an easy relationship. But we manage, the Rain and Me; With sometimes love, sometimes hate, And sometimes, just harmony.
